WORLD BOOK AND COPYRIGHT DAY 23 APRIL

WORLD BOOK AND COPY RIGHT DAY 2024

                         (Read Your Way)

United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization – UNESCO initiated this day at UNESCO’s General Conference, held in Paris in 1995.  On this day famous author William Shakespeare died.

This year, the theme for World Book and Copyright Day is 'Read Your Way'. The theme is to encourage people to read more books and cultivate the good habit of reading.

SIGNIFICANCE OF WORLD BOOK AND COPYRIGHT DAY-

• To promote reading.
• To pay tribute to books and authors on this date, encouraging everyone to access books.
• Read Books in all forms to allow readers to enhance their knowledge.
• Through this day people can be made aware of other things including reading books.
• Copyright ensures fair compensation for creators and encourages the production of new books. 

On World Book and Copyright day 23 April 2024 we organised BOOK EXHIBITION in Library. some moments....

 

PUSTAKOPHAR FESTIVAL(पुस्तकोपहार पर्व)

PUSTAKOPHAR in KVS is a unique scheme of gifting old books to junior students on completion of Academic Year. It saves money, paper and environment at large. The number of books gifted by the students in Kendriya Vidyalaya are increasing every year. 

In Our School its held on dated 23-03-2024 to 04-04-2024. and so many students participated.
