Activity 1: The Kitchen Library (Physical Attachment)

  • Paste one flattened food wrapper (biscuit, spice, etc.).
  • Write the expiry or best before date.
  • Mention one difficult-to-pronounce ingredient.
  • Note the net weight (grams/kg).
  • Draw the health dot color (Green/Red).
  • Write the manufacturing city/state.

Activity 2: Shadow Puppet Theater (Diagram & Video)

  • Draw hand action vs shadow diagram.
  • Write a 5-sentence story on the shadow character.
  • Record a 30-second puppet show video.
  • Mention the family member who filmed it.
  • Collect audience rating out of 5 stars.

Activity 3: The Signboard Scout (Artistic Sketch)

  • Draw a colored sketch of a local signboard.
  • Mention the exact location.
  • List the colors used.
  • Explain the message of the sign.
  • Reason for the shape used (Circle/Triangle/Square).

Activity 4: The News Hunter (Collage Art)

  • Paste one newspaper headline.
  • Write a photo caption.
  • Draw weather icon & note maximum temperature.
  • Identify the news category (Sports/Politics/Science).

📚 Library Readers Club Activity – Author Character Day 🎭

on 23/08/2025 during the morning assembly, the Library Readers Club organized a special activity where students dressed up as famous authors and shared about their works. It was a vibrant event that brought literature alive with creativity, costumes, and performances.

✨ Highlights

  • Gowthami (Class 8) as Sudha Murty – sharing inspiring stories and values.
  • Ananth Narayan (Class 7) as R. K. Narayan – narrating Malgudi Days and simple Indian life.
  • Gowri Vibhavari (Class 8) as Anne Frank – spreading courage and hope from The Diary of a Young Girl.

🎭 Each student dressed in character and briefly spoke about the author and their stories. The short role-plays made the session engaging and meaningful.

📚 Takeaway:
This activity helped students connect with literature in a lively way, making authors and their works come alive.

🙌 The program was well-coordinated and maintained by Readers Club President Abhigna (Class 11) along with members Amrutha (11), Meenakshi (11), Hanshika (11).
