 Reading Promotion Week – Week 1

6–10 July 2026 | Classes I–VIII

Reading Promotion Week–1 was organised with the aim of developing joyful reading habits, vocabulary, creativity and confidence among students. A variety of engaging activities were conducted, including story telling, my favorite character, comic strip, Reading Bingo Challenge, Vocabulary Hunter, Book Cipher, Mystery Book Challenge and Read & Win Championship. Students explored books, discovered new words, solved reading-based challenges and shared their reading experiences.

The Reading Bingo Challenge added special excitement, encouraging students to complete different reading tasks and showcase their participation through short video submissions. Overall, the week witnessed enthusiastic participation and helped strengthen a positive reading culture and love for books among students.

To nurture the joy of reading from the earliest years, the School Library provides age-appropriate books and magazines to the Primary Classes from Balvatika to Class V for their Class Libraries. 📖🌟

Our Class Libraries bring a colourful and engaging collection of reading materials directly into the classrooms, making books easily accessible to young learners. The collection includes story books, picture books, children’s literature, activity-based books, general reading books and colourful magazines.

📖 Age-Appropriate Reading – Books selected according to the interests and reading levels of young learners.

Inspired by books they had read, students created engaging comics based on stories such as The Lion and the Mouse, The Boy Who Cried Wolf, The Crow and the Snake, along with original themes like The Magic of Reading and The Power of Reading. Each comic beautifully reflected imagination, storytelling skills, and important moral values.
