World Book and Copyright Day 2025 – Celebrating the Power of Books

Every year on April 23rd, the world celebrates World Book and Copyright Day, an initiative by UNESCO to promote reading, publishing, and the protection of intellectual property through copyright. This date is symbolic, as it marks the death anniversaries of literary legends like William Shakespeare, Miguel de Cervantes, and Inca Garcilaso de la Vega.

To mark this special occasion, our school library organized a vibrant Book Exhibition, inviting students and teachers to explore a wide range of books in both Hindi and English. The exhibition featured a curated selection of titles from beloved authors such as Roald Dahl, J.K. Rowling, Sudha Murthy, Shiv Khera, Brian Tracy, and many others.

Students actively participated by browsing through different genres—fiction, non-fiction, biographies, inspirational reads, and storybooks. Many were excited to discover new titles and were inspired to pick up reading as a daily habit.

This celebration wasn’t just about displaying books—it was about creating a space for imagination, learning, and discovery. It helped strengthen the reading culture among students and reminded us of the timeless value that books bring to our lives.

In addition to showcasing books, we also emphasized the importance of copyright awareness. Students learned how copyright protects authors' creative works and why it is essential to respect and acknowledge original content in our digital age.

Career Guidance Session During Tarunotsav 2025– Exploring the Future with Confidence

As part of Tarunotsav 2025  at PM Shri KV Chamarajanagar, a special session on career guidance was conducted for the students of Class X transitioning to Class XI. The session focused on helping students understand the wide array of career options available after Class 10, 12, and graduation. It encouraged students to think beyond textbooks and explore their interests, skills, and ambitions while choosing the right path.

The discussion covered major academic streams—Science, Commerce, and Humanities—and their scope. Students were guided about prestigious entrance exams such as NEET, JEE (Main & Advanced), CUET, and others that can shape their journey toward medical, engineering, and central universities. Aspirants interested in serving the nation were introduced to careers in the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, and defense services through NDA and other armed forces entries.

Students also explored options in design (NID/NIFT), law (CLAT), hotel management, journalism, and civil services like IAS, IPS, IFS, encouraging them to plan long-term with dedication. They were also motivated to consider careers in teaching, entrepreneurship, and digital technology fields. Emphasis was laid on aligning their career decisions with passion, hard work, and continuous learning.

The interactive session sparked curiosity and enthusiasm among students, helping them gain clarity about their future. It successfully planted the seeds of self-reflection, goal setting, and career awareness—marking a meaningful beginning of their senior secondary journey.
