Celebration of LIBRARIAN Day(Dr S R Ranganathan's Birthday)

LIBRARIAN DAY & BOOK JACKET COMPETITION  

On August 12, 2024, we are excited to celebrate Librarian Day and the birthday of S.R. Ranganathan, the Father of Indian Library Science. This special day honors Ranganathan's pioneering contributions to the field and the vital role of librarians in fostering a love for reading.

To mark the occasion, we are hosting a Book Jacket Competition. We invite all students to design and craft their own book jackets using only homemade materials—no items purchased from the market. Try to Select a book from our library for inspiration and bring your artistic creations to the library on Monday. The most imaginative book jackets will be showcased, and prizes will be awarded for the top designs. This event is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Ranganathan’s legacy and express your creativity.
