On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Chamarajanagar paid tribute to the brave Indian soldiers who fought valiantly in the Kargil War of 1999. The day was observed with great respect, patriotism, and student engagement.

Date: 26th July Occasion: Kargil Vijay Diwas Significance: Celebrates India’s victory in the 1999 Kargil War against Pakistan.
Kargil Vijay Diwas is not just a date—it’s a symbol of bravery, sacrifice, and patriotism. On this day in 1999, India successfully recaptured all strategic peaks infiltrated by Pakistani troops in Jammu and Kashmir. The mission, called Operation Vijay, lasted over 60 days and ended in victory on 26th July.
