On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Chamarajanagar paid tribute to the brave Indian soldiers who fought valiantly in the Kargil War of 1999. The day was observed with great respect, patriotism, and student engagement.
A special video documentary on the Kargil War was shown in all classrooms. The video showcased:
A live Kargil Vijay Diwas Quiz was conducted on the school assembly stage. Students participated with enthusiasm and pride.
The program concluded with a tribute to the martyrs and a motivating message from the Principal. Students pledged to follow the path of discipline, unity, and dedication to the nation.

Kargil Vijay Diwas is not just a date—it’s a symbol of bravery, sacrifice, and patriotism. On this day in 1999, India successfully recaptured all strategic peaks infiltrated by Pakistani troops in Jammu and Kashmir. The mission, called Operation Vijay, lasted over 60 days and ended in victory on 26th July.
It teaches us the value of courage, service, and love for our country. Our armed forces are the pride of our nation, and learning about Kargil makes us grateful and more aware of our responsibilities.
