Significance: Celebrates India’s victory in the 1999 Kargil War against Pakistan.

Kargil Vijay Diwas is not just a date—it’s a symbol of bravery, sacrifice, and patriotism. On this day in 1999, India successfully recaptured all strategic peaks infiltrated by Pakistani troops in Jammu and Kashmir. The mission, called Operation Vijay, lasted over 60 days and ended in victory on 26th July.
